Retractable Screen Latch

A quick learner from Prescott, Arizona says:
Is there anyway to adjust the Screen Latch ? Mine is not broken but it is hard to operate, to the point that any visitor to my home can not get the door to function. I do not want to purchase a new latch as the old one is not broken at all. Please Advise.

It would really depend on the latch, and I'm not sure what you have. Could you show us some pictures of it? Perhaps then we can offer a suggestion.

Photo's of the Latch attached - Looking for any and all adjustment that can be made to same ... Short of purchase of a new latch.

Thank you! Looks like you have a Pella handle. Unfortunately, These cannot be adjusted. They don't even have a spring. The spring back motion of the hook is caused by a thin plastic strip extension of the hook inside the handle. If you take the handle apart, you can see the inside mechanism I'm talking about. The only possible solution is to buy a complete new handle. I am sorry we cannot offer an easier solution.
