The 39-015 Roto Gear Window Crank Awning Window Operator has an approximate sash opening of 14 1/2". I do not have a maximum load for this awning window crank operator. Take a look at the included picture for a more detailed drawing of this window crank operator.

I own Anderson awning windows. Right now they only open about 8 inches. I don't get any air flow...will this operator work with my windows?

Awning windows normally don't open too far. With that being said, the 39-015 could get your window to open up a bit farther. However, you will need to have room to install it in your window. You could have a problem trying to convert the Andersen operator over to a Truth operator. I have never tried it, but if you do, don't forget the brackets 39-170 and the 39-114L handle. Those parts will also have to be replaced.
