S400-29 bracket options

A home owner from Gainesville, Florida says:
Your website offers some real good reading material.
I have those builder grade non tilt windows. I know I need your S400-29 spiral balances. The bracket on a couple of sashes are broken. What would you recommend as my best choice: 17-031 or 17-094 or ????? Would the 17-031 interfere with the window closing and still being able to lock it? Thanks.

It would really depend on what bracket you have now. Could you show me a couple pictures looking up at the bottom of the sash? That will give us a clue as to what bracket you're currently using.

Once I cleaned out the debris the brackets appear to be okay. Agree? I discovered it's impossible to get those spirals back into those brackets w/o the wire charging tool.

Thank you! Yes, the brackets are attached to the side of the sash and in your case, they appear to be fine. The balance system looks like our S400-29 spiral balance with a green tip. You could use either our 75-004 or 75-005 charging tool to make it easier to install.
