STEEL DOOR WEATHERSTRIPPING

A quick learner from TOLEDO OHIO says:
WE HAVE A NEW COMMERCIAL STEEL ENTRY DOOR & FRAME THAT THE CONTRACTOR INSTALLED A TUBE SHAPED WEATHER SEAL ON THE FACE OF THE STEEL DOOR FRAME. IT HAS BEEN INSTALLED ONLY 2 WEEKS AND IS VERY UNSATISVACTORY. IT LEAKS BAD AND HAS ALREADY SHRUNK TO THE POINT THAT IT LETS SNOW INTO THE INSIDE OF THE DOOR. I WOULD LIKE INFORMATION ON MAGNETIC DOOR SEALS THAT CAN BE FACE MOUNTED TO THE DOOR FRAME THAT WILL IN FACT SEAL THE DOOR AIR TIGHT.

Dave Sr. from SWISCO responded:
We do not carry a magnetic weatherstrip that can be mechanically installed. Our 58-169 foam-type can, however. We also carry the 58-180 stick-on type that can be applied on the door stop where the door meets the frame. Finally, we also carry a stick on foam pad which can be used in the corners to cover up gaps in the weatherstripping.
