A home owner from Novi, MI says:
Hello,

Can the sash stop be disconnected and reconnected if you wanted to fully open the window? If so, how?

Thanks

Paul from SWISCO responded:
Yes! If you look at our pictures of the 39-398, you'll notice that near the bottom (showing 1-11/16") is a stainless steel detach clip. You can slide this off the stud to detach the stop, and reattach by sliding the clip back on.
A quick learner from Novi, MI says:
Thanks for quick response. One more question...can it be installed on the side of the window (vertical) or just bottom near the operating crank?

Thanks

The 39-398 is made to be installed on the sill in relation to the operator and track. To be honest, I'm not sure how it would work installed on the side of the frame. I guess it would depend on the style of your window and if it would allow that kind of alteration.
