Sash pivot bars

A home owner from State College, PA says:
I have several windows that have broken sash pivot bars. I also have one window with a broken coil and another window that has too light of a coil causing the window to slide down. I am not sure if any of the pivot lock shoes need replaced. I cannot find a way to remove the pivot lock shoes or replace the coils. In your video there was a slot where it would just slide out...not with these windows. I can only slide the shoe from top to bottom in the slot. The numbers on the shoe are 4.610.108. The numbers on the white piece above it are 5.232.208 & 5.365.638 need replacement parts. The company I bought the windows from is bankrupt.

Thanks for posting. Please see our 15-111 pivot shoe and 26-021 pivot bar. Carefully compare our information to your hardware to confirm that these match up. If so, then the 15-111 is commonly used with the Series 160 coil spring. As for removing your shoe, we have two videos. I'm not sure which one you watched, but both of them explain how you can remove your shoe without a previously existing cutout.
