Should spiral balances be lubricated periodically

Thanks for posting. Normally it is not necessary to lubricate spiral balances unless the windows are in constant use or near water. You can use white lithium grease or Three-In-One oil on the spiral. If you want to lubricate the track the window sash rides in, use silicone spray. Let me know if you have further inquiries.
