Sliding door track repair

A home owner from New Jersey 08902 says:
How do I know which topper I need?
Also, if the existing track is really badly damaged, do i need to 'fill it in' or anything before putting the topper on so that there arent spaces between the topper and the rail?

Thanks

Paul from SWISCO responded:
The 80-102 stainless steel track cover is fairly common. Most people file down the rough edges and fill the valleys with epoxy when putting on a new track cover if the damage is particularly bad.
