Sliding glass door that opens left

A handy person from Eden Prairie, MN says:
The latch broke that turns the lock. All other parts are working. I need a new locking mechanism or entire unit. The moving handle that turns the lock is what broke off.

Thanks for posting. Take a look at our 82-034 or 82-075, depending on the thickness of your door. I believe one of these could be a possible match for your handle set. Also see our 82-218 mortise lock, if you need it. You could re-use your old face plate.
A handy person from Minneapolis says:
Sent a note yesterday about just buying and adding the locking lever.
Is that possible? Also, if I buy the locking mechanism does does a lever come with it?

I'm afraid the thumb lever is not available separately for this handle set. They are pressed in at the factory and are not meant to be replaced. As for a mortise lock with a cover, there are two types depending on your hole spacing that you could consider. See our 82-226 or 82-227.
