Soft door closer for bench

Will this plastic soft door closer adapter work on a hinged bench top to help prevent pinched fingers? The top is 3/4" birch plywood about 36" wide and 18" deep to the hinge. Would two be required for this type of weight? I have 6 benches to do.

Are you referring to our 32-006? It's possible it can work for a hinged bench, but I guess it depends on how it opens. It is an odd, but interesting application so I'm afraid I cannot make any guarantees.
