I'm also wondering, how to insert the spiral and shoes into the groove, which has a opening of 1/2", all the way from the top to the bottom, while the rod diameter is larger than that (9/16"- 5/8")

Thanks for posting. I believe our Series 600 should still work for you, even though the diameter is 5/8". The vinyl should be flexible enough to allow the tube to install.
