Spirial Window balance for tilt window

A home owner from Tn. says:
The window balance has a black tip and the tube measures approx. 28 3/4 inches long and 5/8 inch tube OD...
What should I use for the correct spiral counter balance??

I would recommend our Series 600 spiral balance. This is a 5/8" diameter balance used in tilt windows. Based on the tube length, I think you'll be safe going up to 29". This isn't always recommended for other balances, but for this one it'll be okay.
