Storm Door Hardware

A handy person from Near Boston Massachusetts says:
Hi,

I am unable to locate an identical handle for replacement. The handle shown operates by being pressed.

From the outside, there is a brass door knob. When the door knob is turned, it turns an internal square shaft that touches an internal cam that is part of the inside handle. Unfortunately the cam has worn and the handle does not press in enough any more to clear the latch on the door frame.

Note that the internal handle is not a rotating design but a press design while the outside brass knob rotates.

Is there a direct replacement that is available?

Thank you,
Tom

We don't have this exact latch, but we do carry something similar. See our 40-150 inside latch. Keep in mind, however, that this turns to unlock the door. You could also take a look at our 40-058 complete lock set. This may also work, but in both cases you will need to carefully compare your dimensions to ours to be sure.
