Threaded crank fitting came loose

A quick learner from Cleveland Ohio says:
The threaded crank fitting came loose on my casement window. is there a tool needed to tighten it?

Are you referring to the gear bore? It would look like a corkscrew. I'm afraid these can't be repaired. If yours comes out, then you will need an all new operator. We can help identify what you need, but we'd need to see a picture of yours out of the window.

Thank you for submitting your sample. It looks like you have a handle with the center bore gear out of the operator. Once that gear pulls out, you need a new operator, like Tom mentioned. There is no repairing this. 39-083 looks like it might fit your window, but you should carefully compare it to what you have to confirm.
