Velux skylite help

A home owner from Cherryville, NC says:
I have recently moved into a house with 2 older Velux venting skylights which have no opening hardware. The only way to open them is to climb up and use a 5/16" hex key (Allen wrench). Is there a part (or set of parts) which will allow me to open them from the floor. A contractor has already provided me with a Velux telescoping control rod (Part ZCT300), but that is not sufficient. Paul from SWISCO responded:
If you already have the rod, perhaps all you need is the hook to which it connects. See our 39-551 Velux operator hook and let me know what you think.
A quick learner from Cherryville, NC says:
I have that piece, attached to the rod. But the skylight only has a female 5/16 inch hex receptacle. I need the piece or pieces that insert into the hex receptacle on one end and attach to the 39-551 on the other end.

You mean something like the 39-550 adapter?

If this is not what you mean, please take a couple pictures of your hardware and we can try to find something better.
