What does the hook in my channel balance attach to?

A quick learner from Santa Cruz, CA says:
Hello: Does the hook in the channel ballance just hook into the oval hols in my window sash or so I need attach some type of plastic hook on my sash to catch the chennel ballance? Right now, my sash only has a slanted part at the very top (veritcal slide) and an oval hold near the bottom (on both sides of course).

Thanks

Thanks for posting. Actually, the balance should hook in a hole punched in the middle of the main sash track, not on the sash itself. Please refer to the video below on how to install a channel balance in a non-tilt window.
