What is the difference between 90-173 & 90-097?

A handy person from NY says:
What is the difference between 90-173 & 90-097? They both appear to have the same sweeper and keeper dimensions. I have old replacement windows from 1993 I believe (the date is stamp inside the windows) and I am looking to replace a number of locks since they are broken. The dimension from the center of each hole on the existing locks is 2 1/4".

Good Afternoon,

The 90-097 Window Lock has two pints sticking out of the lock base, used for alignment. The 90-173 does not have these pins.

If your lock does have the alignments, use the 90-097, if not use the 90-173.
