Which size do I need

A handy person from Cornelius, NC says:
The windows are 10 yrs old and they came out of there balance mechanisms and appear a dead weight. The nylon holders seemed to have cracked. They are double pane, tilt to clean, 36 Height by 34 Wide. Should I just replace the whole mechanism? If so, which mechanism do you sale that I need for the window(s)? If I replace the mechanism, will the old part just unscrew from the casing or will the wound up metal tape spring out?

Thanks!

Thanks for posting! Please look at the right side of this page. I have made a list of parts that you could use to repair your window. Keep in mind that you may not need everything here; you can replace just the parts that have broken and reuse the rest.
