Will this roller work if mounted lower?

A home owner from tallmadge, ohio says:

this item looks exactly like the onesi need to replace except the length on mine is 3 5/8 instead of 3 5/16. will it work if i just mount it a little lower? all other dimensions are exactly the same. thanks.

I don't see why it wouldn't work if all the other measurements line up. There are three mounting holes on the bracket of this roller so I wonder if that was to make an easy mounting adjustment if needed.
