Window Crank Plate

A quick learner from USA says:
We have a series of old Alcan crank-out windows. We would like to replace the the cranks on 9 of them with blanking plates as they are too high for us to reach. The only cover plate that is still available for aluminum awning windows is the plastic snap-in 39-355. I think it could snap into the cut out in your window, but I'm not sure if it will cover up all your screw holes. You might need to use some of the existing screws to fill in the holes. What do you think of this solution?
