S377-30 too stiff

A quick learner from Orlando, FL (32828) says:
Stamp is 29-5
30 inch long
5/8 inch deep
9/16 wide
I have tried your model 377 2950 and all parts are correct but the springs are too stiff

Tom from SWISCO responded:
Can you go into more detail about why the spring is too stiff? Is the window harder to open and close? If so, the stamp option may not be correct. 2950 is what we would recommend for an old 29-5 stamp, certainly, but perhaps the original wasn't correct, either. It happens sometimes. Could you tell me the weight of your sash?
A quick learner from Orlando, FL says:
The window goes up easily but takes a good bit of force to close. Also the top sash guides keep breaking allowing the balance to escape capture. The sash weights appx 30 lbs as measured on a not too accurate bathroom scale

Thank you. It sounds like 2950 is too strong for your sash. I think our 2840 might make things easier for you.
