Window balance option for S385-16

A quick learner from Burbank CA says:
Hello, I need to find out which option to get. I removed the lower half of the window ( 34"x 17") and it's weight is 17 lbs. Do I divide that weight by two since there are two balances or is the weight option figured for the weight of the window?

Tom from SWISCO responded:
No, you do not divide the weight. Our channel balance options are calculated assuming both balances are supporting said weight. Our 1550 can support 13 through 17 pounds.
