Window balance question

A home owner from USA says:

Please see the attached photos. The metal part of the balance measures 30". There is no writing on the ones I have removed. I can just barely read "MC 45" on one that is still in one of the windows. Reference the photo. As you can see from another photo of one of my windows with the balance still in, it but busted through the sash cam. This is the issue we are having with the windows. The balances seem to have strong tension in them still... could it be the sash cams just broke down from the hot Florida sun beating on them all day and the plastic gave through? I don't want to replace the balances if they are still good. What do you think?

Thank you for you time.

Hello, Todd. From what you showed, it looks like you have something like our 18-166 top sash guide and our Series 385 balance. Carefully examine this hardware and let me know if you agree.
