Window channel balance replacements

A handy person from Magnolia, Texas says:
I have some broken balances, and I would like to replace them with upgraded parts. The balance is 28 inches long, 1/2 inch wide and has the number 27D stamped on it. I can't tell the window brand, but i think they are vinyl.

This part of the window that seems to hold the channel in place is also broken on at least one window, so I need to replace these also. Again, if there is an upgraded option for these, I would like to best possible part I can get.

Check out our S390-28 channel balance, this looks like a possible match. The top sash guide, on the other hand, looks like our 18-174. Just make sure everything matches up.
A handy person from Magnolia, Texas says:
Are the higher weighted options for the S390-28 balance more sturdy than the lower weights. My windows are fairly large (about 4' x 8'), and the balances on several have failed, so I want to replace them with the best parts possible.

Paul from SWISCO responded:
You should weigh your sashes to determine the proper option, in that case. You don't want a balance that is too strong, since that could cause problems. Best case scenario is that the window won't close. Worse case scenario is that the balance actually damages the sash. You only want a balance strength that matches your sash weight; no more, no less.
