The lenght of the Latch is 2 5/8
and the width is 5/8 ths

Thanks for getting back to us. The closest matches we have are our 26-243 & 26-244. Take a look at these and let me know if you think they can work.

However, we can't have a contiuous ridge around the tilt latch.
We already tried that style and it wouldn't slide into the sash
Any other ideas

In that case, the only other options I can think of our our 26-263 & 26-264.
A quick learner says:
26-264 it measures 11/16th wide across top by 25/8ths

It looks like there are four tabs instead of a solid ridge is that correct?do you think that will work?

I honestly can't say. I'm not sure why your sash won't take something with a solid band in the first place. That said, looking at your picture, it looks like your original latch has four worn down nubs that may once have been the same ridges on our 26-264 & 26-263
