Sash stamped with: 29 9 IR CALDWELL

Need replacement.

I'm afraid that stamp doesn't tell me what you have. I recommend that you look at our Channel Balance Home Page and follow the steps in order to find the Series that best matches what you have. I would also recommend weighing your sash on a scale to confirm the best spring strength option.
A quick learner from California says:
it's 1/2" x 30". the sash weighs approx. 38 lbs.

I believe mine is the;

30-inch/pd/Series-385-Channel-Balances/S385-30

I just need to confirm if I need the 2965 sash weight option?

If the sash weighs 38 pounds, then the 2965 option would definitely be ideal. You may want to get the exact weight just to be 100% sure.
