Window tilt lock slider shoe

A home owner from Minnesota says:
For a Jeld-Wen window.

I need just the shoe.

The spring assembly has the number: 16B DD5 CMC 45.

Paul from SWISCO responded:
I recognize this. I believe Jeld-Wen discontinued this particular balance system. Now, I think we can make up a substitute balance system, but I will need more information. Specifically, I will need a photo of the entire balance. I will also need to know the length of the metal channel and the width and thickness of the pivot shoe. Finally, I would like a photo of the pivot bar attached to the bottom of the sash, along with your measurements.
A quick learner from Minnesota says:
The metal piece is 16" long. The shoe is 1" wide, 1/2" thick, and 1 1/4 " long.

Thank you! That is a big help. I think we could custom make an S795-15 balance for you with a 15-194 shoe and 15-198 clip specially attached. Would this work for you? If so, let me know how many you need and we can send you a price quote and custom order form.

I'm still not sure about the pivot bar, though. Without seeing your original I'm not sure if it can work with the new shoe, or if you will need a new one.
A quick learner from Minnesota says:
The pivot bar is 3/8" wide and 3/16" thick.

I think if I just got the shoe, I could make my existing assembly fit into it. It may not be perfect, but this is for a window that is in a storeroom that is seldom used. In fact, I took out the shoe from this window to repair a window in a kitchen.

What do you think?

Paul from SWISCO responded:
Thank you! Just replacing the shoe would be feasible, but I'm afraid we do not have anything that matches your old hardware. It is not made anymore. I'm not sure if you could get the 15-194 to work on the old metal channel, but it could be possible. I can't say for sure. I can confirm that the 15-194 can work with your old pivot bar, at least.
A quick learner from Minnesota says:
Thank you for all your help, Paul. I went ahead and ordered the whole assembly. Heck, it was less than twelve bucks! I can change the hook at the top and I think I'll be good to go!
