Window won't stay up

I know the tab on the sash goes into the slot. these pieces move up and down freely ant it looks like part of the piece is broken.

Thanks! Looks like you have a broken pivot shoe. It's hard to make out what you have, but it appears to be something like our 15-155. Could this be what you need? Look it over and see how well it matches your balance system. Also see the video below, this might help.

Yep, that shoe looks like our 15-155. Are your springs damaged in any way? If not, you can always re-use them. The great thing about this kind of balance is that you only need to replace the broken hardware. If you do need springs, the 15-155 is compatible with the Series 170 and Series 171 springs
