Windows Not Stay Open

A quick learner from Debery, Florida says:
Our windows are very old, I think. We have two windows do not stay open and we thought we can replace the channel balance to fix the problem. However, we could not find any parts on your website matching with ours. Can we use any of yours?

Thank you for your help. We just do not want to replace the whole windows.

This is similar to our Series 377 channel balance, but I'm not sure. Keep in mind that this comes with the 19-018 and 15-005, so as long as those match I think this could work as a replacement.

Thank you for the answer, Tom.
Number on this balance is 2320. Do you think I can replace them with your series 377?

I have another window which has the same problem, but a string in the balance is cut. This is the same window, but smaller and number on the balance is 1820. If your series 377 works, shorter than the other one should work ?

Thanks for your help.

Tom from SWISCO responded:
The stamp has no bearing on the Series, it only indicates the spring strength calibration. The best way to confirm if the Series 377 can work is to compare the style and size of the nylon attachments to your own.

Tom, Thank you for your help. Those 19-018 and 15-005 worked. However, the window still does not stay open. It is not catching.... we found that there are pieces missing on top of the window. Is the part available? If it is , what is the name of the part?

Thanks again.

Hey, Noriko. Sounds like you need new top sash guides. See our 18-042, these may be what you want. I would recommend comparing this to an undamaged version to be sure.
