Windows coil balance broke.

A home owner from Dumfries, va says:
Windows no longer stay up, the coil balance springs no longer working. Trying to replace with equal parts if available. Not sure of window manufacture, do not see any labeling?? Do you know where I can get these parts?

Thanks for posting. The manufacturer actually discontinued your spring, but our screw-on type spring should be okay. I recommend our 15-158 pivot lock shoe and 33-072 screw. The number printed on your old spring looks like #6, so see our S152-6 coil spring. The other parts you might need, if worn or broken, are our 15-143 bushing, 15-144 bushing cap and 15-145 barrel.
