broken bedroom window bottom half

A home owner from Fenton, MI says:
vinyl window, bottom half, tip out 44 1/4" x 25 3/4.... window was pushed up too far and the metal piece that sticks out and goes into the track came through the bottom vinyl strip that runs across the bottom of the window. I don't know if the metal piece broke or just the vinyl strip.

This window is an outside bedroom window and we are going away soon. We need to get it fixed as soon as possible

We see this a lot. Unfortunately, you have a vinyl welded window sash where you can't replace the broken bottom rail. You need to replace the complete bottom sash. Is there a metallic AAMA sticker in the upper window frame so we can identify the window manufacturer? If not, you will need to call a vinyl window company to see if it's there window so they can replace it, or buy a new complete replacement window.
