broken pivot bar

A home owner from Indiana says:
we have a broken pivot bar that is too far in and can't get out. suggestions?

If you can't reach it with needle nose pliers, and it won't slide out when you tip your sash, then push the old one further in with the new pivot bar. The track for the pivot bar in the sash should be the whole length.
A quick learner from Spring Hope says:
I used the cleaning rod for my 22 cal rifle...took out the good pivot at one end and pushed the rod all the through the track to push out the broken pivot at the other end...worked like a charm!
