commercial pile to tall, interfering with door

A quick learner from texas says:
Installed a center pivot double kawneer door and the doors a somewhat tight. Remved the wool pile and the doors operate properly. Install the pile and the door will not shut by themselves. do you make a wool pile that is under size the standard height.

Dave Sr. from SWISCO responded:
What I have done in some cases is to take a single edge razor blade and run it down the length of the door. This gives the weather stripping wool pile a "haircut," so to speak. This usually works for me. Now, if you want you could get a generic weatherstrip like our 58-085. This has an aluminum base that you could grind/file down to shorten the total height. Try the hair cut first on your existing door, though. That might be all you need.
