Thanks for posting. Removing rusted pivot bars can indeed be a bit of a process. Watch the video below for some tips and guidance. You're going to first want to try spraying the area with some lubricant; if this doesn't suffice, and you can't pry free the pivot bar with pliers, you can simply push the pivot bar further into the sash frame to make room for a replacement. There's plenty of room along the frame to do this where it is not going to interfere with the new one. Let me know if you have further questions. |
