31 3 HW CMC 7

A handy person from Surprise Arizona says:

Side load single hung balance spring

The metal part is 32 1/8" long. It has a 31 3 HW CMC 7 printed on it

The spring end has a plastic tip that is 1 5/8" long held in with a rivet

The bottom plastic piece is 1" long

Which Swisco balance spring would be a direct replacement for my unit?

Thanks,

Bill

Thanks for writing in! Your balance appears to be the S395-32 with a winged top and a non-winged bottom. The length of the metal channel on this balance is 32".

You'll need to select the 3130 stamp option.

Thank you for the response. I have another window, larger than the others. I need to get the number for 2 balance springs. They are stamped. 34 4 GW CMC 11. The metal piece is 35" long. The plastic ends are identical to the first two windows balance springs. I also would need one metal clip that holds them on place when removing the window.
Thanks
Bill

Hello,

Since the balances have the same attachments, you'll need to the same style balance. With that said, you'll need the S395-35 with a 3440 stamp.

The metal piece that holds them in place is referred to as the take out clip. This is part 16-002.
