Alside window spring balance

A quick learner from Mentor, OH says:
Hi, on one of our 16 year old Alside windows, the metal spring broke on the left hand side of the frame. The window sash weighs 18.5 lbs, and the sash dimensions are 29.5" x 30.5". One included pic shows the surviving (still working) spring balance, the other the broken one. Can you please advise on the correct replacement part? Thank you.

Hello,

The pivot shoe shown in your photos resembles the 15-177 shown below. This shoe is used with the Series 152 coil springs and related items listed on our product pages. Based on your sash weight, I would recommend using one S152-9 on each side. Look over the related videos to help you through the repair process. Thank you!
