Balancer

A home owner from Petaluma says:
Hello!

I need to find a replacement window balancer - I've included the only markings I can find - and the metal measures about 1/2" wide and about 28" long if that helps at all.

Thank you!

Hey there,

Thanks for reaching out to us! I am confident we have a replacement balance we can supply you with however, to be absolutely sure I'll need to see a photo of an undamaged balance.

I am specifically looking to see a photo of the top and bottom plastic attachments from the balance. The stamp provided only indicates the weight range the balance can carry to support the weight of the sash. Unfortunately, we cannot use it to identify the exact series you need.

Please feel free to reach out with any other questions in the meantime.

Hello!

Here are "front and back" photos of both the top and bottom of the balancer.

Thanks

Thanks for the photos!  Your balances are either the S380-28 with a 1" shoe or the S385-28 with a 1-3/32" shoe, with a 2740 stamp option.

To determine which series is needed for your window, look over the dimensions from the diagram below to confirm the depth of your bottom shoe. Keep in mind, there is a chance that it could measure 7/8". If so, please let me know as these will need to be a custom assembly.
