Thanks for posting! Your coil shoe appears to be an older discontinued shoe that is no longer available. For this, we typically recommend our 15-192 Certainteed pivot shoe but you may need to shave down the aligners from the shoe to install it into the window. Take a look at the dimensions to confirm if it may work for you.

This shoe is compatible with the Series 170 Coil Balance as well as the Series 171 Coil Balance; the S171 is only used in instances where there are two coils on one assembly. To confirm which spring you need from the list of springs, you'll need to remove the existing coils and check for any stamps/markings. If there are none, you'll need to obtain the exact weight of the sash and divide it by the number of coils in the window.

I also wanted to make you aware of another replacement option that could work as a suitable alternative. Take a look over the dimensions for the 15-259; carefully compare them to an undamaged shoe to confirm if it would be a fit.

This shoe is compatible with the Series 159 Coil Balance. To determine the right spring strength to support your sash weight, you'll need to review the existing springs for any stamps/markings. Although, since this is a new balance assembly, it may be a good idea to obtain the exact weight of the sash, down to the ounce, and divide that number by the number of coils in the window.

If your balance assemblies require only one coil balance, you'll need the 15-255 Coil Single Support but if it uses two, you'll need the 15-256 Coil Double Support.

Also, your existing pivot bar isn't likely to be compatible with the 15-259, so you'll need to replace it with the 26-083 2-1/2" Pivot Bar.

That's really helpful, thank you! It seems like either would work for my application -- what is the difference between the 15-192 and the 15-259 besides the 15-192 is slightly thicker and take different coil balances?

Do the other parts such as 15-156 and 15-157 work with all series of coil balances?

I'm happy to help! We typically recommend using the 15-192 to replace older balance assemblies in CertainTeed Windows and the 15-259 to replace older Simonton assemblies.

In regard to the 15-156 cover and 15-157 balance drum, they would only be compatible with the Series 170 and Series 171 coil balances which are used with the 15-192.

The 15-255 and 15-256 are used with the Series 159 and 15-259.
