Channel balance replacement

A home owner from Clearwater, Florida says:

I am trying to replace the channel balances for a Silver Line single hung window. The balances are 15" long (measuring just the metal section). When asked for the weight option what is stamped on the original balance doesn't match up to the options given. The original balance has 15 10 BS1 FC stamped on it. The sash weighs 22.5 pounds.I am including pictures of the balance.

Thanks,

John

Thanks for posting. We can replace these 15" long balances for you, but they have to be custom made due to the window weight. They will be stamped 1465, to accommodate a window sash in the weight range of 20 through 23 pounds. We need to just to narrow down two things. First, I want to confirm whether this is a Series 351 or Series 390 balance. The only difference between these two balances is the depth of the bottom nylon shoe, or the 'heel-to-toe' measurement. See the image below. Second, how many balances do you need? From there I will prepare a quote for you.

Thanks for your reply Bob. The measurement you ask for is 1 1/8 inches (photo included) so based on your diagram it would be an S390. I need two balances.
Best,
John

I agree. I just sent you an email with a custom link to order a pair of these 15" Series 390 balances. They will be stamped 1465, to handle a sash in the weight range of 20 through 23 pounds. Let me know if you need a different amount, or have any other questions.
