Channel balance type

A handy person from Seattle, WA says:
Hello,
I actually already purchased the 380 series, option 1120, but am now unsure whether it's the right one or whether I need the 385, or whether I am completely wrong altogether. I have attached photos of the broken one so that I can verify. It definitely is the 12" length with the 1/2" channel width. I am mostly unsure about the boot. Thanks for the help!

Hello there. Good question. It all comes down to that bottom nylon shoe, or the measurement from 'heel' to 'toe'. See the diagram below for reference. If your old balance's shoe is 1" deep, then fear not--the S380-12 is what you need. If it is anything greater than that, let me know, because the Series 385 would have been the proper choice. Let me know what you find!

Hi, thanks for the super prompt response. It appears I do need the 385. How would be best to initiate an exchange?
