A contractor from NY says:
What's the best top sash guide to use?
I feel like whoever replaced the guides before did it wrong.
They don't fit well with the balances and the bottom too.
Are they different balances?
or is the bottom supposed to be like that?
I feel like the channel balances should have something on the bottom to either slide in to the window groove or something to prevent it from sliding in.

Hey there! Thank you for reaching out to us. You're right, whoever repaired this window appears to have used whatever they had on hand to finish the job. The bad news is that we can only help based on the hardware shown here, which is wrong for the window.

Are there any identical windows in the house that haven't been repaired? If so, we can use that as a reference. Furthermore, do you happen to know the brand or manufacturer of the window?
