Correct channel balance

A handy person from Long Beach, CA says:

I have a 31" channel balance that I need to replace. I believe that it would be one of your Series 390 balances (S390-31). It has a 1 1/8" width bottom shoe. The only marking on it is 3016, I don't know which 30XX to order. The window measures 34 1/4" wide by 32 1/2" high. It weighs 25 pounds. Can you recommend the correct number?

Hi there, Bob.

Thank you for reaching out to us. Since your window sash weighs 25 pounds, I'd recommend the 3040 strength option. A pair of balances with this option will support a sash weighing 23 to 28 pounds.
