Counterbalance Bars

A quick learner from Port Charlotte, FL says:
Have 9 windows that have the counterbalance bars extended in the frame. It appears that this happens when the plastic piece at the top corner of the window frame gets brittle and breaks. I saw no 4 digit stamp on them the counterbalance. The stamp on it says 29-3 CA2 CAM. So I need the replacement plastic pieces that catch the bars on the top corners of the window frames. Send me 20 of them.

Thanks for reaching out! I am confident that we can supply you with a replacement balance however, I'll need to see a photo of both the top and bottom nylon attachments to recommend the right replacement. The stamp from the balance on indicates the weight range that your balance should be able to carry to support the weight of your sash.

The plastic piece at the top corner of the window is what we refer to as the top sash guide. It helps to guide the balance in the window channel as you lift the open and close.

We do not carry an exact match for your top sash guide, however, there are a few in our inventory that may be worth considering as a replacement. Take a look at our 18-176 and 18-188 , compare the dimensions from each of these guides to your existing top sash guides to determine if either of these might be a fit.

You may place the order for them via the website or by giving a call to our customer service team at (888) 991-1929. They are available Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm.
