How do you replace the bolt portion of the 10-556?

A contractor from Florida says:
Hello,
We have a door lock that appears to be the 10-556 and may have an issue with the bolt portion of the lock assembly so the question comes up how do you remove the hidden portion of the loca assembly? Or is it built into the door and not replaceable?

Thanks
Dennis,

Dave Sr. from SWISCO responded:

Thank you for reaching out to us. Some lavatory doors do appear to be tack welded at the seams with no way to take them apart to access the latch. I'd recommend you check to see if there is a seam or panel that can be pried off or separated so you can replace the latch. You could also try contacting the manufacturer or supplier of the door to see what they suggest.
