I am looking to replace the coil spring on our bathroom windows.

A home owner from 19044 says:
These windows are about 20 years old and were installed before we purchased the home. Both bathroom windows failed in the same manner, the coil spring snapped, leaving the window unable to hold itself open. Each window has two springs and each spring is stamped 6R.

Thanks for the help!

Thanks for posting! There is a good chance we can supply you with the coil balance replacement you need; however, to confirm the right replacement I'll need to see a photo of the compatible pivot shoe. Since the coil snapped, it is likely still connected to the pivot bar at the bottom of the window.

Once I have an idea of the shoe you have, I'll be able to confirm the correct replacement springs for your window.

Thanks for the photos. Your coil balance appears to be the Series 140 Quick-Tilt assembly. Although, to confirm that this is the right fit for your window, you'll need to carefully review and compare the dimensions.

Since your housing is stamped with a 6R, you'll need the S140-06.
