Hi, I have a one year old Jeld_Wen Premier patio door which currently has a doll rod in the track for added security. I have a bad back and would like a foot lock instead. I have seen examples that have two bolts on either side of the metal track and others that are attached in the front. The track side of the door is 1 5/8+ inches wide. There is 3/4 inch before the curved molding on the bottom. My name is Dave.
Thanks you,
Dave

Thanks for reaching out to us, Dave. Take a look at the 82-040 and the 82-051 patio door foot locks along with the 82-054 keeper. This might be something you could install on the bottom face of the patio sliding door. I personally like the 80-006 security bar but review the specifications to see if that would be a better option. I also like the "broom" handle, but it can be a pain bending down to take it out of the track. |
