Mortise Lock is Stuck

A quick learner says:
Hello, my sliding door cannot be locked and the lock seems to be stuck. The lock's parts number is PAT#: 6.264.252

I want to replace the lock but not sure which product is a good match. I also lost the key to this door. Do you suggest getting a new blank key or replacing the handle set? Thanks!

Thanks for posting. If the handle set is otherwise undamaged, you certainly could just replace the existing key lock and cylinder with our 82-310, which comes with a new set of keys. Otherwise, you could get our 82-030B Handle Set, which also comes with a key lock built in and new set of keys. Finally, you might want to make sure the mortise lock isn't broken and the culprit of the key lock not working. To check this, try manually 'throwing' the mortise lock with a slotted screwdriver. If it doesn't budge, then you know the mortise lock needs to be replaced as well. See the 82-265.
