Thanks for writing in! Thar part you are referencing is the coil balance housing used for a coil balance assembly. This hardware is used to support the weight of the sash. There appears to be another piece attached to the top of your existing housing, I will need to see a photo of that part as well.

The housing you have is the 15-087 Coil Housing Pivot which is used along with the Series 180 Coil Balance. Since your housing is stamped with a 9, you'll need to purchase the S180-09. Be sure to remove the housing and carefully compare the dimensions to confirm that this is the right fit.
