Seems like this number describes the strength of the spring or size of it

Thanks for posting. This looks like a 15-180 Pivot Shoe, which uses Series 190 Coil Balances. A balance stamped '8' should be replaceable with our S190-840 8 pound spring. Let us know if you have any other questions.
