A quick learner from Montana says:
1/2" width 27 length

Outside track is stamped with 26 4 IW CMC 11

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Robert. This is called a channel balance. It helps regulate the window's movement. That stamp code actually isn't an identifier; it just tells us the strength of the balance. I am confident we can help, but we need more information to narrow down what you have:

  • First, I need to see the nylon attachment on the other end of the balance.
  • Please show me a picture of where the spring and pulley meet in the 'guts' of the metal channel.

Let me know if you have further questions.

Thanks for the reply, Bob. I've attached a photo of the inside channel. Hopefully this is enough to point me in the right direction of which part I need to order.

Thanks,
Robert

That's a huge help, thanks! Based on what I see here, you have either our S380-27 or S385-27, depending on the depth of the bottom shoe. That's the only difference between them. I recommend measuring your shoe and referring to our dimensions to confirm the best match.

Got it. Thanks, Bob I appreciate all your help!
